FAQ

What should I wear to an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concert?

Some people enjoy dressing up and making a special night of it, but you'll see everything from denim to cocktail dresses. Most importantly, wear what makes you feel comfortable.

What is the approximate length of a classical concert?

It varies, but most concerts are about 90 minutes to two hours in length, with a 20-minute intermission at the halfway point. Family concerts are specifically designed for younger audiences and are usually less than an hour with no intermission.

When should I arrive?

The Galleria of the Memorial Arts Building opens two hours prior to each concert, and you should plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the concert to find your seat, enjoy a cocktail and begin your concert experience.

Where can I learn more about the program?

The ASO provides program notes for each classical concert. They can be found in the printed program or at aso.org/programnotes.
